Ideal for playing OTB variant chess games such as Crazyhouse, when seconds matter. Upon capture, the piece is simply flipped over to reveal the correct new color and played at just the right moment.
Our Classic sets comes with 40 double sided pieces, 16 standard pieces plus 4 pawn promotion pieces. Please specify which promotion pieces you would like, as the default options are a queen and a knight in each color.
Sets are made of quality Baltic Birch plywood and are offered in natural finish for white and Royal Mahogany or Deep Dusk Ebony as the black piece option.
Other Stain options are available upon request.
Sizes range from 1" to 1 3/4" in diameter, in 1/8" and 1/4" increments. A good rule of thumb is to have a diameter 75-85% of the side length of each square on the board.
